Darby Plaza
Hunter Precast was proud to contribute to the delivery of Darby Plaza, a landmark $55M A-grade commercial development in Newcastle by GWH. Completed in June 2022 after a 23-month build, the seven-storey building offers 8,000m² of premium office space, ground-floor retail, three levels of parking, and outstanding end-of-trip facilities.
Hunter Precast supplied 502 precast elements, totalling 5,528m² at 100–200mm thickness. This included a wide range of products such as decorative panels, curved panels, wall panels, and lift cores. These contributions provided both the architectural character and structural integrity central to the project’s success.
Located at 352 Hunter Street, Darby Plaza features a public plaza linking Darby Street to the Newcastle foreshore, unlocking the former heavy rail corridor and redefining workplace standards in the region. Today, it is home to leading local, national, and international tenants, standing as a centrepiece of Newcastle’s CBD revitalisation.
