Hunter Precast offers durable and aesthetically versatile precast concrete cladding solutions that enhance the appearance and performance of your build.

Cladding in precast concrete is a both an architectural and construction choice. Allowing a variety of shapes, features and finishes coupled with ease and pace of installation, it has proven to be a popular option.

Non-Load Bearing Cladding Panels

Non-load bearing precast concrete cladding is ideal for industrial and commercial facades, providing both functional and aesthetic benefits.

Used as a façade, often for industrial and commercial builds, non-structural precast concrete panels are generally attached to the buildings steel structural frame. Available in a variety of thicknesses, these cladding panels offer a high level of fire resistance, good thermal mass, fast and efficient erection and increased design flexibility.

Our panels are available with custom door and window voids, and service inclusions for lighting, power, data and ventilation/air conditioning. Hunter Precast also offer decorative panels boasting coloured concrete, decorative patterns and in any curve radius.

Panels are available up to 10 metres long and 3.6 metres wide.

Dado Walls: Protection and Durability

The lower part of the wall, Dado walls provide essential protection to the lower section of industrial structures, improving both durability and fire resistance.

A dado wall traditionally refers to the lower third of a wall being different to the upper third. In this case, concrete precast panels often installed below sheet metal. Predominantly used in warehouses and industrial sheds, precast concrete dado walls are generally set at 2.4m high and offer security and protection to the bottom of a predominantly steel-clad structure.

Benefits also include an increased fire rating and greater protection from vehicle and mobile plant impacts.

Balustrades: Stylish and Functional Design

Precast concrete balustrades are both a practical and aesthetic choice for adding safety features to residential and commercial buildings.

Precast concrete balustrades make for a cost effective and stylish solution for commercial and residential builds alike. Incorporated as part of, or all of, the balustrade, precast can offer accents to any design whilst also offering privacy and sound reflection.

Darby Plaza

A-Grade office & retail space in prime Newcastle CBD location. Construction commenced August 2020, and completion early 2022.

Hunter Precast was proud to contribute to the delivery of Darby Plaza, a landmark $55M A-grade commercial development in Newcastle by GWH. Completed in June 2022 after a 23-month build, the seven-storey building offers 8,000m² of premium office space, ground-floor retail, three levels of parking, and outstanding end-of-trip facilities.

Hunter Precast supplied 502 precast elements, totalling 5,528m² at 100–200mm thickness. This included a wide range of products such as decorative panels, curved panels, wall panels, and lift cores. These contributions provided both the architectural character and structural integrity central to the project’s success.

Located at 352 Hunter Street, Darby Plaza features a public plaza linking Darby Street to the Newcastle foreshore, unlocking the former heavy rail corridor and redefining workplace standards in the region. Today, it is home to leading local, national, and international tenants, standing as a centrepiece of Newcastle’s CBD revitalisation.

This Drayton development in the Steel River Industrial Estate consisted of 340 precast panels at a whopping 4,892 sqm. Panel thicknesses ranged from 100mm to 200mm.
