ONE Apartments

Hunter Precast was proud to supply 2,170 precast panels, covering an impressive 19,784m², to the landmark ONE Apartments development in Newcastle West. As the largest project ever undertaken by Hunter Precast, this build demonstrates our capacity to deliver high-volume, high-complexity precast solutions at scale.

Our scope included façade, core, balustrade, and column panels, combining architectural design with robust structural performance across the tower’s mixed-use residential and commercial levels.

The project involved:

95 installation campaigns from November 2023 to April 2025
4,221m³ of concrete (≈10,341 tonnes)
404 tonnes of complex reinforcement cages
151 km of stock bar
115 pallets of grout (48 bags each), installed by hand

The result is a striking addition to Newcastle’s skyline, setting new standards in precision and quality for large-scale precast delivery.

Macquarie Tower

Hunter Precast delivered a total of 741 precast panels for the Macquarie Tower project, covering 7,744m² across facades, cores, balustrades, and columns.

Darby Plaza

A-Grade office & retail space in prime Newcastle CBD location. Construction commenced August 2020, and completion early 2022.

Hunter Precast was proud to contribute to the delivery of Darby Plaza, a landmark $55M A-grade commercial development in Newcastle by GWH. Completed in June 2022 after a 23-month build, the seven-storey building offers 8,000m² of premium office space, ground-floor retail, three levels of parking, and outstanding end-of-trip facilities.

Hunter Precast supplied 502 precast elements, totalling 5,528m² at 100–200mm thickness. This included a wide range of products such as decorative panels, curved panels, wall panels, and lift cores. These contributions provided both the architectural character and structural integrity central to the project’s success.

Located at 352 Hunter Street, Darby Plaza features a public plaza linking Darby Street to the Newcastle foreshore, unlocking the former heavy rail corridor and redefining workplace standards in the region. Today, it is home to leading local, national, and international tenants, standing as a centrepiece of Newcastle’s CBD revitalisation.

Crest Georgetown

Residential project by GWH. Crest Apartments, 42 Georgetown Road, Georgetown. Hunter Precast supplied a range of precast elements, including facade panels, cores, balustrades and columns.

Cubby Hole

Truly a reimagining of the industrial unit. Overlooking the south channel of the Hunter River is the latest Cubby Hole industrial micro unit development.

Boasting 81 industrial units, Cubby Hole at Mayfield again proved itself with a modern and smart looking product that has become popular across the region.

Incorporating the decorative ‘bullet-hole’ styling, curved edge panels and plentiful windows not common in an industrial setting, the outcome is a fresh take on the industrial unit.

Sky Residences

A Unique Exterior for Sky Residences.
In the heart of Newcastle CBD’s Civic Cultural Precinct is contemporary build that showcases what precast concrete can achieve.
During the construction of Sky Residences, Hunter Precast supplied 1,360 precast elements, including façade panels, decorative panels, balustrades and lift cores. Hunter Precast have finished supply for both Stage 1, the 19 storey main tower plus 2 basement levels, and Stage 2, the accompanying 9 storey tower.

All 1360 panels delivered and installed within the project deadline, whilst we met the needs of our existing customers and their requirements.

Industrial building precast concrete panels

Ellsmere Ave Singleton

Consisting of 2 buildings, Ellsmere Ave industrial units cover a total of 1008 square metres. It consists of 10 industrial units ranging from 70 to 140 sqm. Constructed using a structural steel frame and full height precast concrete panels, the high clearance warehouse/workshop areas include automated garage doors and mezzanines with stairs.

Commercial Bulky Goods

This bulky goods commercial centre is located in Salamander Bay and covers over 1,450 square metres. The build consists of 4 separate units with internal mezzanines. Completed in 2021, the build was undertaken by GWH, and involved a number of Hunter Construction Group businesses.

Electrodry Storage Facilty

The Electrodry complex offers four storeys of storage spaces, 570 storage units and office suites located at the front. Our innovative design saw cladding panels clipped to temporary propped columns to achieve a handrail before each proceeding floor. 400mm columns and a total of 3,125 sqm of cladding.

Industrial Buildings Precast Concrete Structural Steel

Coal Wash Drive

This 4 unit industrial build contained 236 100mm precast concrete panels at a total of 3,700 sqm.

Murray Dwyer

This Drayton development in the Steel River Industrial Estate consisted of 340 precast panels at a whopping 4,892 sqm. Panel thicknesses ranged from 100mm to 200mm.

Millhorn

8 storey, 79 bedroom, 81 car spaced building with two podium level terraces. Located in Wickham, and built by GWH alongside Hunter Structural Steel, Hunter Install and Hunter Windows.

Waterview

Located in Belmont with stunning views across Lake Macquarie. Constructed over 3 levels with 1 floor of basement parking the structure comprised of precast concrete panels on structural steel, framed around a central lift shaft.

Precast Concrete Residential Build Lambton

121 Elder St

Boutique apartment living in the heart of Lambton. Consisting of 15 apartments and 3 retails suites. Consists of 996 precast concrete elements.

SOHO Central

Located in Islington, and completed in 2017, this 6,700 sqm building consists of 233 individual, or 1,839 sqm, of precast concrete panels.

Wyee Shopping Village

Working with GWH and the wider Hunter Construction Group, the new Wyee Shopping Village was completed in September 2021 and covers over 5,000 square metres.

Impact Mining

Impact Mining Equipment constructed their new warehouse and office facility, relocating from their original premise. Hunter Precast worked with GWH and Hunter Structural Steel to erect the structure within the tight build window.

Highpoint High-Rise Apartments

Highpoint Apartments at Charlestown features one, two and three bedroom apartments, penthouse suites and commercial space at ground level and car-parking/storage facilities.

Aero Decorative Curved Facade

The design of Aero Apartments in Newcastle West included a vision for a truly unique precast concrete cladding that would make the building stand out on Newcastle’s emerging skyline.

Rock Crusher Housing

As part of an environmental initiative, precast panels were used to create a dust mitigation and sound reduction barrier for Hunter Quarries’ new rock crusher.
